Ergonomic Job Hazard Assessment
Evaluating Injury Risk
Improving Safety and Efficiency
Reduce Injuries
An Ergonomic JHA is a detailed analysis of an employee's job duties focused on identifying risk potential for work related musculoskeletal injury. The results provide a quantitative risk determination that enables focused, goal oriented job modifications effective in reducing the potential for future injury or symptom development.
Recommendations include both short term measures that can be implemented immediately and long term cost effective solutions that will not only reduce the injury potential but will improve worker efficiency, may increase productivity, and prove beneficial to quality measures.
Best Practices
JHA results will include development of best practice work methods which can be used to educate your employees on how they can best help to prevent injury.
Integrate these into employee onboard training to maximize the benefit and minimize injury as they become accustomed to the work activities.
A pre-shift warm-up and preventative exercise program is an important component of an injury prevention program.
Work Break and Pre-Shift Exercises
Ergonomic JHA recommendations typically include stress specific exercises that can be performed during micro breaks in the daily routine or prior to shift start. These exercises assist in reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries, such as, sprains, strains, repetitive motion injuries, or over exertion injuries when lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, by reducing fatigue, improving muscle balance and posture, and improving muscle coordination.
Cost Effective Options
There are several additional options that we offer to facilitate the best outcome or to minimize your costs:
-Your ergonomic assessment can be summarized in a training presentation and provided for review by your staff prior to implementation of ergonomic modifications.
-Employee training videos can be developed to facilitate best practice work methods, raise awareness of risk concerns, or educate the employees on ergonomic specific safety practices.
-Our trained professionals can guide you through the data and video gathering process, provide forms and basic instructions. Your data gathered is submitted for ergonomic analysis by our Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialists, minimizing your cost related to on-site fees.
